Born on the Gold Coast, inspired by surf culture, and fuelled by collaboration - Official Beer Co. is all about crisp beers and good times.

BORN FROM SURF, ART & GOOD BEER
Official Beer Co was born with salt in its hair and a surfboard under its arm.
Inspired by the bold lines of Reg Mombassa and the laid-back chaos of 80s Aussie surf culture, we set out to make beer that tastes like… real beer. No over-hopped experiments, no flowery jargon - just crisp, fresh, easy-drinking session brews with low carbs and high vibes.
We kicked things off in the spirit of collaboration, teaming up with celebrated brewmasters to create our first range: Official 2032 Lager, Summer Session (formerly “Official Mid Strength”), and Official Ginger Beer.
Wrapped in Mombassa-inspired art and poured in smaller cans that punched above their weight, these brews picked up glowing reviews on tap in a handful of select venues. Then we hit pause. Took a breath. Re-imagined what Official could be.

The relaunch came with GC Lager, a crisp new brew crafted alongside an award-winning brewmaster Reece Richards. Check out the story.
Since then, our collaborative spirit has only grown stronger - whether it’s Yeti Lager with the Taranaki Airs in New Zealand, or Playzone Lager pouring fresh at Playzone Surfers Paradise, every release is about bringing people together around good beer and good times.
